Prudence loves new Irish film, His and Hers
Last night I went to a special screening of new Irish film, His and Hers which is probably the best Irish film I’ve seen in the last five years. I kid you not! And the fact that it’s a documentary film rather than a feature film means this is high praise indeed.
Made by a farmer-turned-film maker Ken Wardrop, it features 70 Irish women who talk

We popped along last night for the launch of our prudent celebrity and current cover star Claudia Carroll’s brand new book, Personally I Blame my Fairy Godmother. She looked fabulous and the place was packed with friends, family, fellow authors and former colleagues from Fair City so it was an eclectic gathering.

Behind the Scenes: Pru’s cover shoot & a cover star teaser!
For the many of you interested in what happens behind the scenes at Prudence Central we took a few snaps at our recent cover shoot. Like anything else, it’s a mix of hardworking people bringing their talents together to create a little bit of magic (plus blood, sweat and tears!). On a shoot earlier this week for our May cover, I whipped around between shots

The Prudence team were pretty tickled when this pic popped into our inbox recently and we definitely thought this savvy little gal was worthy of a blog post all of her own. Snapped by auntie Sinead as she enjoyed a bit of quality downtime with the January/February issue is Prudence's littlest reader Lucy Mc Nasser.
Isn't she a dote?

Prudence Tops the Magazine Charts!
Prudence magazine, Ireland’s most recession-relevant glossy, has scored in just-released ABC circulation figures.
Prudence proves its worth by bucking the trend that has seen women’s interest magazines in the Irish market lose ground in the circulation race. Up by an impressive 12.6% on last year’s figure, this is a remarkable achievement considering how hard the female-oriented magazine sector has been hit in the past
Pick Prudence’s March/April Cover!
It's baaack, baby! Our inaugural 'pick the cover' contest was such a success we've decided to roll it out again for our new issue - look for it on shelves on March 1st.
The cover will feature the very gorgeous Gillian Quinn, wife of soccer legend Niall, and we're a little stumped: she looks so great in all the options we have to hand that we
Cold snap brings out community spirit
Did everyone notice how nice complete strangers were being to each other all last week once it started snowing? In the supermarket, on the streets, just walking along and getting smiles from complete strangers which never happens normally!
A friend and colleague reckons it’s the ‘siege’ mentality which gives us a sense that we’re all in this together and it creates some bond between us all.
